How do I find channels to join?
Click the Channels folder to get a list of default channels, or type /list in any window. You can customise the results of a /list by adding a *wildcard* word. So, to find a channel that discusses chickens, type /list *chicken*. You can also use the List icon on the toolbar.
How do I get rid of this Guest* nick?
Type /nick yournewnick. You can check first to see if the nick you want is already registered with /nickserv info nick.
How do I register my nick?
Change to an unregistered nick that you want, then type /nickserv register yourpassword youremailaddress. A good password is important; see the DALnet password guide for help. You must use a valid email address to complete the registration process.
Where can I download movies/music/files?
Try Google. mIRC is not a file sharing program. Don't even ask. See the DALnet Acceptable Use Policy.
